Hawaii Part 2

On May 11 (my birthday!) we drove to Kona. It was a BEAUTIFUL drive. We made a few scenery stops along the way.

And we got to ride in the car with this little cutie...

That night, we ate at Macaroni Grill and went to our hotel at the Hilton Resort. GORGEOUS! This was my favorite place we stayed. It was so relaxing and beautiful!

This was my birthday dessert I took home from Macaroni Grill.

Tyler and I ate it that night...but we ran into a problem. We had NO utensils whatsoever! So we improvised and used a straw to cut the cake and parts of a cup to scoop it up :)

My favorite part was that they had dolphins! Dolphins are my favorite animal...it was the perfect present being able to see them in Hawaii on my birthday!

There was one dolphin that was playing around with a leaf while we were watching. He would put part of it in his mouth and swish it around on top of the water then drag it down to the bottom of the pool.

At one point some of the dolphin trainers came out and had one of the dolphins do some tricks. Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough with my camera...but I did catch the last part of a trick on video..

At the resort they had a bunch of different pools you could swim in and had a fun water slide!

We also walked around the hotel...they had a lot of art and some animals to look at.

On Mother's Day evening we watched the sunset then went and ate pizza at a super yummy pizza place.
