The day after Miles came home my mom flew in to stay with us and help us out. It was such a blessing having her here! I didn't realize just how tired and how terrible I would feel. My mom cooked, cleaned, ran errands, took care of Miles...she did anything and everything she could to help. She was also an emotional support for me...I was feeling a whirlwind of emotions that first week and it was so nice having her there to talk to.
We were so blessed to have so many people stop by and bring meals. Everyone in Tyler's family brought us dinners, my visiting teachers, and my co-worker Jennifer. The food was delicious and we would always have leftovers to last us for a couple of days...it was wonderful!
In the hospital they told us Miles was at risk of having Jaundice so a couple if days after he was home we had to take him to get tested again. His numbers spiked quite a bit so he had to lay on a special little bed for a couple of days. We told him he was an astronaut and it was his space bed :) He actually seemed to like it...it was comfy and warm. After 2 days his numbers had dropped so we could take him off the bed.
We basically spent the first couple of weeks just snuggling and loving him. We took a bajillion pictures so I'm just going to do a big photo dump of my favorites.
Miles always made funny expressions when he slept...sometimes he would smile, frown, raise his eyebrows etc.
