On the 50th day of school, our 1st grade team had '1950's Day.' It was SO FUN! The kids were invited to come to school in 50s clothes. My AMAZING, WONDERFUL husband put together a slideshow full of pictures from the 50's...their clothing, cars, toys, etc. and put it to some fun songs from the 50s. The kids LOVED it! We learned about what life was like back then..they were amazed with the fact that there were only 3 TV channels and that no TV shows played after 10:00. We did some fun activities with the number 50 and got to listen (and dance!) to some records. It was a fun day...I will definitely be repeating it next year!
