Ooooooklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plains...

For Spring Break, Tyler and I took a trip to OKLAHOMA to visit my family! Gosh, I love that place. We left early one morning to drive there and as we were driving we saw the most beautiful sunrise. A TRUE sunrise...not just the sun coming over the mountains like you see in Utah :) I love that...I love the open space and how you can see for FOREVER.

I realized after we left that we hardly took any pictures! I was so bummed! Here are some of the highlights of our trip:

-Going to Tulsa with my sister and brother-in-law to go shopping and out to eat

-Witnessing an Oklahoma Thunderstorm (we were under tornado watch. The sirens never went off, but we saw a pretty narly storm with hail and strong winds.)

-Visiting with Al Abeyta...he is a volunteer at the library there in my hometown and happens to be related to Tyler! It was neat talking to him and hearing what he had learned about their family history.

-A guy in my ward has a shooting range so we went with him and his wife to the range was evening. It was way fun! We first shot hand guns then we moved on to shot guns. We used clay pigeons which were freaking hard. Especially when we shot doubles. But Tyler did freaking AWESOME. I was so impressed!

The rest of the time, we hung out with the fam and enjoyed spending time with them! It was a fun trip...we are excited to go back!

If I should need something shot I'm going to call you. I'm a horrible shot! I'd never have been able to hit a clay pigeon.
