During silent reading time, a little girl in my class was reading next to her desk and then put her nose right on the leg of the desk. (This was by my table so I saw the whole thing and wondered what she was doing.) She turned to me and said "Mrs. Abeyta. Did you know that when I get close to things, I can see through them?" "Really?" I say. "That's a pretty neat talent to have!" "Yes." She replies. "And when I have my glasses off, I can see through my nose!"

Every Monday our 1st grade team has "culture" where a parent comes and teaches the 1st graders about a country they have been too. Today our speaker asked the kids "Who was the first person to come to America?" One of the 1st graders replies "God!" The speaker then gives them a hint..."Christopher..." "Christopher Robin!" shouts another 1st grader.

I need that first little girls talent. I can't even see without my glasses on. I'm sure that it would improve my sight.
