Our friends BJ and Erin's wedding
Salt Lake Scots playing at the Festival of Trees
Tyler and I were called to be members of a branch at the Observation and Assessment Unit (O&A) for troubled youth in Utah. We meet there every Sunday and do an activity there every Wednesday evening. On Christmas morning, we woke up early and served breakfast to the youth there. Then we had Santa Claus come and give them each a stocking. A lot of them were pretty sad when we first got there, since they have to spend Christmas at O&A instead of at home. But by the time we left, they were all smiles. It was great being able to make their Christmas day a little happier. Afterwards, we went to Tyler's parents house and opened presents.
My little brother, Nathan, also went into the MTC in December. I was grateful that I was able to pick him up at the airport and take him since I was here over Christmas break! It was hard to say goodbye, but happy to see him take on this great experience. He has been doing awesome and has loved the MTC!
