Show and Tell

In my 1st grade class, we have a "Star Student" every week. The star student gets to do something special each day of the week. (They bring a poster about themselves, we make a book for them, they bring their favorite book for us to read, etc.)

This week our star student is a little boy who always tells very random stories. Stories such as his Aunt having a snake wrapped around her neck, or how his family was chased by zombies.

Well, today he got to bring his show-and-tell: a notebook of pictures he had drawn.

And...in walks my principal. (He always walks in at the worst times. He probably thinks I don't teach anything!)

He asks what we are doing and I explain. He then asks the star student to show him a picture. So the star student holds up his next picture he was going to show us..2 dots. And explains that this picture is a picture of a boy who had his head fall off and then it got stuck in a kite.

Oh the imagination of 1st graders:)

hahahahahahaha!!! I can just imagine Mr. Conley walking in on all of this! I always felt like he walked into my room at the worst moments too! Don't worry! :)

I miss you!!! I hope you're doing well!

That story is hilarious, Jackie! Thanks for sharing! My Mom's here visiting so I'm going to read her that story (since she teaches 1st grade too)! (:
