My New Toy!

Do you remember as a kid, being so excited for Christmas that you woke up about 50 times during the night, anxious for the morning to come so you could find out if you got that new toy you've been wanting? Perhaps it was the latest nintendo game, or the new barbie jeep that recently came out (yes, I did get that one year). Well, I've decided that even though we get older, our excitement for getting new toys never changes. The only thing that changes is that our toys get more expensive. Teenage years--clothes. College years--maybe a new digital camera or an ipod. College graduate--a new car, an exotic vacation, a new house....you get the point.

I have graduated from college and am now earning a steady income. The last toy I bought for myself was my car, about 2 years ago. Therefore....I have been overdue for a new purchase! :)

I have played around on the pianos at piano gallery because Alex (who used to work there) wanted me to learn about the process in a recording studio. Anywho...he got me a sweet deal on a piano. It is my dream piano and I am absolutely 100% head over heels IN LOVE with it. It records...and I can put those recordings on my computer....it has about a bazillion different instrument settings (this way I can trick people into thinking I can play the guitar...and the steel drums...and the french horn). It also has karaoke on it which is always a party. I am very protective of my piano. Therefore, I will soon be posting a sign on it that will read "play it and die." or something like that. Maybe in nicer terms.

So.....for all of you that actually tolerate my vocal/piano skills....with a piano that records, I will hopefully be able to post lots and lots of music (some written by me, some not) for your enjoyment. So make sure you check my blog for new recordings! :)

This is my baby (see image above)

So fun! I am excited to hear your songs! And by the way...I don't think "play it or die" is too harsh. Then people know you are serious. :)

I cant wait to hear you play your piano again! I will never forget when you played "If you could high to Kolob" and "Praise to the Man" for me! That was really cool for me to see you do what you love. I cant wait for wednesday. See you soon!
