I had my music workshop I signed up for this past Saturday. It was REALLY good. Lots of information....I was feeling a little overwhelmed by the end of it, but I'm so pleased with everything I learned.
I recieved feedback on the song I wrote...which was mostly positive. Tyler Castleton critiqued it and said it was among the top of the songs he heard so I was very happy about that!
Tonight I went and recorded a song called Virtue (written by Jenny Phillips and Tyler Castleton) for a contest that is part of the workshop. I got to be in the studio with Tyler Castleton (!!!) and it was such a great experience. He's so positive--I love it. He knows Alex, who recorded my demo CD and asked me to make sure Alex sends me a copy of it....which means he doesn't completely hate my voice :) We talked about the song I had written for the workshop and he was surprised that it was my first song I've written...he said he never would have guess that and that I need to keep writing because I've got talent there. Woop!

Sounds like the workshop went well! That's great you were able to do it. I love the recording! I'd pick you to record it.
