A glimpse of the last few weeks

Here is what has been going on with us!!

For Memorial Day weekend Tyler played his pipes at a cemetery. We then met up with his family and visited some family graves.




We've been continuing our journeys. We've been exploring out west and found a cool old school cemetery.



We also found a cool old mining town called Ophir. We talked to a lady named Jan who told us a little bit about the town. We then went exploring through the town...found some neat houses, lots of land, and TONS of cows. When we came back through to leave, Jan was sitting on her porch waiting for us so she could give us some fools gold, a pamphlet explaining about the town, and invite us to a festival they have there the end of July.

our jeep. We have had so many fun memories in this jeep...and many more to come I'm sure!!

Other than that, we have been relaxing at home. Last week Tyler and I decided to go swimming..and that's where trouble started......here's an overview of what has been going on...

DAY 1: Tyler jumps in the FREEZING pool then jump into the hot tub...back a forth a few times. While I'm a weenie and sit in the hot tub cause the pool it too cold. Few hours later--fever (from extreme temperature change we think) Another few hours--throwing up. Then with blood. Jackie freaks out a little. We go to the hospital. They tell us it's probably a sinus infection and the blood is coming from his nose.

DAY 2: Tyler takes antibiotics for a sinus infection and they make him throw up. The rest of the day is spent chilling at home.

DAY 3: Nasal congestion gets worse. Coughing. No more throwing up...we were both afraid for Tyler to take more of the antibiotics so we tried some general medication to get rid of congestion.

DAY 4-6: Still lots of congestion and coughing. Now a sore throat that is getting worse....very red. very irritated. very swollen.

Day 7: Tyler's throat has gotten so swollen that it's blocking about 70-80% of his throat. He's starting to have trouble breathing so....back to the hospital! This time they drug him up....morphine, medicine to make the swelling go down, anti-nausia medication, and a couple of other things (I can't remember what, now). We get a perscription for a different kind of anti-biotics (yay!) and some percocet for his pain in his throat.

Day 8-NOW: His congestion is 99% gone. Still a cough and his throat is still somewhat irritated and hurting...but not nearly as much.

I think he is on the mend!!! Hurray! My sweetheart has been through a lot the last week and a half....I'm crossing my fingers and praying that it will be completely gone in a matter of days NEVER to return AGAIN!
