TYLER PROPOSED!!!! Here is the story:
We had gone ring shopping a week prior and I knew he had the ring so I knew it was coming soon. I talked to him Monday night and he was making it sound like he hadn't asked my dad yet (even though he already had). I was thinking he wouldn't propose until the weekend. On Tuesday after work I drove to his house and he said we could go out to dinner but then he had to go teach bagpipes and then we could do something after. We went to Olive Garden in downtown Salt Lake for dinner (where we went on our first date) and he gets a phone call and says his bagpipe student cancelled. We get in the car and start driving and pass by a carriage. (We had talked about them the previous weekend) I pointed it out and he pulled the car over and asked if I wanted to go. And of course I did! The carriage ride goes around memory grove...which is where we had our first date. So at this point I'm still clueless as to what is about to happen...I just thought it was all a coincidence :) I'm so oblivious sometimes haha. There was a bench we had sat at our first date and talked for about an hour. On our carriage ride, we stopped near that spot, and he pulled out the ring and proposed. And I cried. (tears of happiness, of course). We went back to his house and his mom had bought sparkling cider to celebrate...she is so funny :) We are getting married March 20th in the Salt Lake City temple and I can't wait!!!
